On September 6, 2019, at the prestigious Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas Center, Manila, Myles Yeotan stepped onto the stage as JCI Manila's representative at the JCI Area 2 Convention speech contest — and walked off as champion.
The JCI AreaCon speech contest is not just another speaking competition. It is one of the most competitive intra-organizational public speaking platforms in the Philippines, drawing the sharpest communicators from multiple JCI chapters across the area. Every chapter sends its best. Every contestant has already outperformed their peers at the local level. The bar is extraordinarily high.

Beating out representatives from competing JCI chapters across Area 2, Myles delivered a speech that stood above the rest — earning him first place, the championship title, and — most significantly — the right to represent JCI Manila on the national stage.

In October 2019, at the 71st JCI Philippines National Convention held at Avenue Plaza Hotel in Naga City, Camarines Sur, Myles Yeotan stood among the country's elite public speakers — and finished as 1st Runner-Up in the national public speaking competition.
